Sign Your Scent finally comes to life.

This blog has waited long time in my heart to be published. With a passion for art and creativity in general, I am building this blog slowly to go down the depths of the fragrance world, and its intricate and beautiful stories. If you are reading my blog, you can come along with me in this journey.

About Me

My Fragrance Story

Hi, I am Ankita, a passionate writer and fragrance enthusiast. In this blog, I journal my thoughts of my perfume exploration journey, my favourites, and few other things that I learn and want to learn about perfumes.

They say perfume tells stories. I don’t know what it means to others but for me, it means what it sounds. Some scents makes me think about tales of finding water in a hot and thirsty desert, while some others tells me stories of walking down a busy spice market in medieval fantasy world. Being a passionate lover and writer of fiction, I would be lying if some of the ideas I have written down over the years haven’t been first inspired by scents.

Having grown up in a tranquil embrace of a small city in the North-Eastern part of India, I haven’t learnt of popular perfume experiences of yesteryears. My mother or my aunts didn’t own Dior, Estée Lauder, Chanel, Avon, or Mary Kay. When other fragrance enthusiast talks dearly about finding beautiful vintage perfume bottles inherited from their mother or grandparents, I cannot relate to them.

However, fragrance found a way to me through other ways. It found me through the the onset of spring with Foxtail orchids at home gardens. With the arrival of autumn as night jasmines paints the air with their sophisticated essence. And sometimes overwhelming but yet sacred scent of incense during religious ceremonies. I loved them all. I absorbed them all and they gave life to the stories in my head.

If you find me reviewing perfumes in this blog, most probably it will probably tell a little anecdot.
